Help Victims of the Colorado Fires

Please, if you have the ability, help families affected by the fires in Colorado around Estes Park and the surrounding areas.
Also, a portion of Vengeful Vellum's sales will go to the two ways to help below:

Earl and Kelly Martin and their children lost their home on Wednesday, October 21st to the East Troublsome Fire in Grand County, Colorado.  There is nothing left of their home and they are uncertain how much insurance will cover.  Please consider donating to help them with current and future costs.
Both Earl and Kelly are leaders in the community.  Earl is the Fire Captain for the Hot Sulfur Springs/Parshall Fire Department and Kelly is the Principal of Granby Elementary School.

*On a personal note, I (the author behind the Mildred Abbott pen name) went to college with Kelly, we both graduated from Colorado Christian University. I can attest that she has one of the purest, sweetest souls I've ever encountered, and my heart breaks for the hardship she and her family must face. (For those readers of the Cozy Corgi series, Granby is just on the other side of Trail Ridge from Estes Park. That little town is a cozy mystery waiting to happen. So this is very much Estes Park related!)

(All text below taken from the Community Foundation Website. I chose this organization, as it was recommended by a 9News as a good way to help Colorado fire victims in a broad way.)

The 2020 Fires Relief Fund has been established, in partnership with Boulder County, to support individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations affected by the Cal-Wood and Lefthand Canyon Fires.

Grants from the fund will be made to nonprofit organizations, municipal, and county entities to support immediate relief needs and longer-term recovery needs for individuals and organizations. Boulder County staff will work with individuals to identify needs and deploy financial help.
Additionally, the 2020 Fires Fund will make grants directly to nonprofit organizations affected by the fires or that are providing additional services to the community, because of the fires. An advisory committee to Community Foundation Boulder County will advise decision making.
Initial funding of $50,000 has been generously provided by an anonymous donor family, with an additional $10,000 commitment from Mile High United Way. Community Foundation Boulder County has also committed $15,000 to help seed the fund.
If funds raised exceed needs, the excess will be placed in Community Foundation Boulder County’s COVID-19 Response Fund.
We understand the weight of this additional community crisis during a year when so many are already stretched thin - emotionally, mentally, and finacially - due to the pandemic. Know that we are with you and our energy to support the needs of Boulder County remains steadfast.
